NEW!Here is the current schedule for auditions tonight. Make certain to look at the correct tab at the bottom…it says “Monday Night Schedule.” The schedule is very likely going to continue to change throughout the day. We’ve already had 35 minutes of acts drop over the weekend, so we may begin moving things up. Check back near the end of the day here to see your final time.

NEW! Our costumer, Mrs. Ponce, will be here today (Monday) from 3pm-6pm for those who came in last week and selected a costume for auditions. She can also help anyone that didn’t get a chance to come in last week, and/or anyone looking for a last minute costume for auditions!


REMINDER!Here is the Pop Week Schedule!

Monday, May 16, 6pm-9pm-SPECIALTY ACTS ONLY, scheduled in 7 minute increments. Be there at least 15 minutes prior to your first specialty act.

Tuesday, May 17, 6pm-8:00pm LARGE CHOIR NUMBERS ONLY (In this order-Singers, Anchormen, Acappella and Treble). Optional: Each choir can leave when their last number is done or stay and watch the others. Each choir will have a max of 30 minutes on stage. Be checked in no later than 5:45 PM

Wednesday, May 18, 6pm-9:30pm-CLOSER & OPENER  AND ALL SPECIALTY ACTS! (in this order). Be checked in no later that 5:45 PM. Again, you may leave when your last act is done. If you want to watch the specialty acts, you can do so this night. (Volunteers also be there by 5:45 PM)

Thursday, May 19, 6pm-9pm Final Dress Rehearsal! FULL SHOW RUN THROUGH (minus the closer). Be checked in by 5:45 PM. You may leave when your last act is done, as we will not be doing the closer on this night. (Volunteers also be there by 5:45 PM)

Friday, May 20, 6:30pm-9:15pm ish-Opening Night. Students check in by 6:30pm for our 7:00pm show. End time, approx. 9:15pm. (Volunteers be there by 6:45 PM)

Saturday, May 21 6:30pm-9:15pm ish-Closing Night/Senior Night. Students check in by 6:30pm for our 7:00pm show. End time, approx. 9:15pm. (Volunteers be there by 6:45 PM)

Sunday, May 22 1pm-? Typically ends around 3pm-4pm. Set Strike (take apart and get the set back off the stage)


REMINDER-DID YOU UPLOAD YOUR TRACKS?! – POPS TRACKS-DUE THIS FRIDAY! – If you are using a track for auditions for a specialty audition, CLICK HERE to submit that link by Friday at 3pm.


POP T-SHIRT ORDERS-DUE THIS WEEK THURSDAY!  Just a reminder that Pop T-Shirt orders are due by Thursday, May 5th. You can download and print one here, or pick up a hard copy of the order form in the choir room on the table in front.

REMINDER-SET CONSTRUCTION BUILD SCHEDULE! The Pop Go the Sailors set must be built and painted and we could use YOU! Here is the build schedule. Feel free to stop in any time and stay as long as you are able!

REMINDER! Anyone who requested the free tickets to Old Heart on either Sat. May 14 or Sunday, May 15 that would like a great deal at the Marriott hotel ($79) near the Detroit airport,  (about 30 minutes from the theater) share your contact info with Jakari or me and the producer, Roger Rappaport will contact you and help you to book the room. 

REMINDER-CHOIR BANQUET-$10 DUE BY FRIDAY! Our end of the year choir banquet is on Tuesday, May 24th, beginning at 6:00 pm at the Lake House, in downtown Muskegon. The MSCA is covering most of the cost, which is nearly $40 per person when you consider the food ($26 per person), space rental, photo booth, decorations, etc. Your cost is just $10 per person, which is due no later than Friday, May 6th by the end of the school day. At the banquet, we celebrate with a fantastic meal, a dance with a DJ, and award recognitions.

REMINDER-NYC, 2023! Next year’s seniors AND juniors…are you ready to head to NYC? This is just a reminder that we will travel to the Big Apple again next spring with both your classes. This will then get up back on a rotation of every other year, going traveling to NYC with these two classes. We will have a meeting prior to the end of the school year where we will share further details, costs, itinerary, etc.!

REMINDER-2024 OVERSEAS TOUR UPDATE! Attention this year’s sophomores, freshman (as well as current 7th and 8th grade choir students): We will be again traveling overseas in June of 2024. We will have a meeting prior to the end of the school year where we will share further details such as where we will be going, costs, itinerary, etc. but just wanted to give you a heads up!
