LAST DAY TO SIGN UP IS TODAY (MONDAY)-EXTENDED DEADLINE!

That way, if you do not make the Allegro cast this year, or if you want to help out tomorrow (Sat), you can still sign up!

This year, middle school Allegrettos are looking for some help from the high schoolers during our Allegretto season — they are doing “Guys and Dolls Jr.” this year!  We’re looking for some students to help with Camp again (10/25-10/26) but we’re also looking for Assistant Directors.  Students interested in helping out in any way should fill out THIS FORM by next week Thursday. Former Allegrettos and Allegros preferred but not required.

Congratulations to the 2019 Matilda Cast (Updated Post with Cast List)!

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IN PREPARATION FOR VIEWING THIS YEAR’S CAST LIST!

IF YOU HAVE ALREADY READ THIS MESSAGE, SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE WHERE YOU WILL FIND A LINK TO THE CAST LIST.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL: Once the cast list has been posted, please make good decisions about using technology to share your emotions! Sharing your happy or sad thoughts (excited or angry thoughts) can be very dangerous to your relationships with your friends in the Performing Arts Department, as well as your future in the Choir and Theater Department.

It is often wise to stay off social media for at least 24 hours, and if you need to vent, do so by private text or phone (or…LIVE) with people who love and care for you most.

Additionally, if you make the cast but you didn’t get the role that you have been hoping for, please take some time away from your phone and your computer as well. Also, if you DO get the role that you have been hoping for, be careful of what you put into print too! You could easily crush a friend if they didn’t get the role that they have dreamed of. Be conscious and caring about your relationships with your friends.

Also know that if you spew poison on Twitter, Facebook, SnapChat or Instagram, know in advance that you will be burning many bridges for the rest of the year. THINK – WAIT and then respond. This is written in love from your directors!  If you have made the cast and taken 24 hours to think about things and you are still not satisfied, let your directors know you have decided to not be in the show. No worries! There is nothing worse than someone who unhappily shows up to every rehearsal, chip on their shoulder, and miserably trudges through each rehearsal. Believe us, there is sure to be someone who got cut that would be thrilled to have a chance to be a part of the Allegros! Let them have that shot if you are just not into it.

Once again we’d like to congratulate everyone for auditioning for this show! Also, congratulations for those of you who made the call-backs.  This is shaping up to be a tough cast list to make in many ways.  Please understand that, if you feel some disappointment because you do not land in the part you dreamed you would, or even make it into the show, we sympathize with you.  Each of the directors have had this experience from time to time, so we do feel with you.  However, we ask that you trust in us, your directors, to have made the best decisions for the show and to know that those decisions are made on so much more than just how you sang your song.  Because of the way the roles work (and the number of them) and that dancing and acting are also important parts of this show, this was a VERY difficult show to cast.

Additionally, although it may feel like it, please recognize that these decisions are not personal. They are professional decisions, based on scores, observations and many years of combined experience for your directors.

Last but not least, what you really ought to do is humbly congratulate those that made the cast in whatever capacity. They should be able to be happy! Let’s support one another and remember that it’s not any actor or actress fault that they were cast.

Specifically for Parents of potential cast members:

Parents-No matter how you may feel about the casting decisions, it is important for your child’s long term development that you help them understand that in the arts (and the world for that matter) where they will likely receive more No than Yes, that they learn to manage disappointment, bloom where they are planted and be able to support the successes of others and value the team’s success over their own. By modeling disrespect for the leaders, you will only cripple their resilience long term.  We have done our very best, spending over 30 combined hours watching auditions and discussing potential outcomes prior to make these final decisions. Thank you for your support!

Often a vast majority of tickets have been sold before the sale is opened to the general public. Please do not purchase more than 10 tickets during the pre-sale so that our community has a chance to see the shows, too.

Tree tickets go on sale to the general public on Saturday, November 2, at StarTickets.com beginning at 9am or at the Frauenthal box office from 9am until 3pm.

Tickets will continue to be available through the Frauenthal box office Monday through Friday from 11am to 5:30pm and online at StarTickets.com until the shows are sold out.

Tickets for the event tend to sell out VERY quickly. Don’t delay. Take advantage of this pre-sale!

TODAY-THURSDAY! Hello Peeps, this week in K-Pop Club there will be a bit to do. First, we will be discussing the presentations that we started signing up for last week. If you have not done so please Click Here for the link and email me the groups you’d like to present, so I can get an idea of the amount of people that are participating in the group this year. Please remember to select 3 boy groups and girl groups, as well as 3 solo artists (with at least 1 male or female). Second, we will also be discussing what to do for our Holloween party next Thursday. We will hopefully going to be doing a pot luck for this event. Last but not least, we will be discussing the dates to do presentations and how to fit language lessons in with these presentations. Have a great rest of your week and have fun.
If you have any questions email me at 61601004@monashores.net or text me at (231) 903-5145.
