NEW!! Tree issues to be discussed today include:

SEE “TREE NOTES FROM TUESDAY NIGHT” ABOVE.

Merry Messages: I am sending home a flyer today that describes a quick fund raiser we are doing at the tree. Mona Shores Merry Messages include a couple sprigs of holiday greens, a bit of shiny, festive garland, a candy cane, and a card you can personalize with your own special message. They are a great way to recognize, congratulate or simply say, “I love You!” to family or friends. Plus, their compact size (around 8 inches tall) makes them easier to handle during a performance than a bulky bouquet. Merry messages can be purchased for only $2 at the Product Sales table before any Tree Performance.

pizza-party.jpg

Fircano’s After Tree Party Money is due by today (Wednesday). $8 per person includes a pizza buffet and pop. 187 students have signed up to go, and we need you to pay. We have given Fircano’s this number so they can be prepared for us!

REMINDER!! SINGING TREE EXTRA REHEARSALS AND CONCERTS: (OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL): A number of you missed the rehearsal on Thursday (and some “Singers” missed Friday as well). Quite a few of you were late on Thursday as well (even when given 20 minutes after school to get to the auditorium), some by as much as 40 minutes. Do you not understand the importance of what we are doing here?! Because of the increase in the number of unexcused absences and tardies, I am going to create a new policy beginning now stating if you are unexcused from these rehearsals you will: A) not be in Tree and B) not be allowed to make up the points you lost by skipping/tardiness. In fact, the points from last week Thursday and Friday went on last marking period and it is now too late to make them up. This really hurt some of your grades. As one student commented to me recently, “This is an elective….why would anyone be in this if you don’t want to participate?” I just don’t get it……WE ARE ONE BIG TEAM HERE PEOPLE!!! Finally, if tardieness continues throughout the week, we will again have to add time to the end of rehearsals like we did on Thursday. We cannot afford to rehearse without the full team present.
